Project Highlight: FedUp Foods – Opening of Wilmington Facility

FedUp Foods and McKinley Building celebrate ribbon cutting at Wilmington beverage production site

McKinley Building Corporation is proud to have partnered with FedUp Foods to complete the transformation of the former TRU Colors Brewing facility into a state-of-the-art production site in Wilmington, NC. The 130,000-square-foot building now houses one of North America’s largest private fermented beverage manufacturers, producing kombucha, cold brew coffee, and other functional drinks for distribution across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Despite an aggressive timeline, our team successfully delivered a high-performance facility that supports FedUp Foods’ growing operations and mission.

The Wilmington site marks FedUp Foods’ third East Coast location and was chosen for its strategic proximity to the port, rail lines, and the company’s headquarters in Western North Carolina. McKinley Building Corporation worked closely with the client and local stakeholders to ensure the renovated facility could support advanced production capabilities, including a new bottling line, upgraded tank farm, and efficient packaging systems. We’re honored to play a role in bringing new jobs and continued innovation to the Wilmington area. Read more via Wilmington Business Journal.
