Living Our Values: Service to Others

On National Philanthropy Day, McKinley Building Corporation’s Vice President of Business Development, Andrew Cooke, was recognized with the Spirit of Philanthropy Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Cape Fear Chapter. The nomination came from Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, a trusted partner whose mission and compassion continue to strengthen families throughout our region.

This recognition reflects more than individual involvement—it highlights one of MBC’s foundational values: Service to Others. At McKinley Building Corporation, we believe that building strong communities is just as important as building exceptional facilities. Our team is committed to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the Cape Fear region, whether through volunteerism, board leadership, philanthropy, or project partnerships.

Andrew’s engagement with local nonprofits, including his work with Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, demonstrates how Service to Others becomes a daily practice at MBC. We are proud of the impact our team members make both inside and outside the walls of our projects.

As we close out the year, we encourage our partners, clients, and friends to take a moment to explore the incredible work being done by nonprofits in our community. From healthcare and housing to youth development, hunger relief, and workforce training, there are countless organizations changing lives every day and they rely on community involvement to continue their mission.

McKinley Building Corporation is honored to support many of these efforts, and we invite others to join us in strengthening the Cape Fear region through service, generosity, and partnership.
